Overview

The goal of this program is to educate the participants as expert financial managers with a strong background in economics who can match theory with practice and understand the critical relationships between real and financial sectors of the economy. Graduates of this program are expected to meet the demand for qualified financial managers of industrial and service companies as well as all sorts of financial institutions, and governmental bodies overseeing the financial system.

Programme structure

The non-thesis programme offers 11-week trimester. In each semester students are given 2 courses. According to this 30-credit programme which consists of 6 compulsory and 4 elective courses and a project can be completed in 3 semesters over one and a half year.

In the thesis programme the focus will be on academic researches and academic studies which help students to gain a PhD education after the MS programme. The programme consists of 6 compulsory and 2 elective courses which are 24 credits and a graduation thesis. Completion of the Thesis programme is over 2 years according to the manual.

Students who graduated from a different subject will take 3 academical preparation courses. These courses have no credits and they are given in Turkish. These courses are;

• IS 510 Muhasebe (Accounting)
EKON 500 Iktisat (Economics)
ISTA 500 Istatistik (Statistics)
• Medium of instruction in the programme is Turkish.
