Overview
İstanbul Kültür University founded by The Kultur Educational Foundation on July 15, 1997 is a non –profit organization established in accordance with the Turkish law 4281. İstanbul Kültür University serves within the framework of the law 2547 with the rights and privileges recognized for governmental Universities. The Computer Engineering started the 1997-98 academic year as one of the pioneering departments of the University.
Programme structure
Istanbul Kultur University (IKU) is an institution of learning and teaching, committed to serving the needs of society. Within this scope, the Computer Engineering Department (CSE) contributes to the mission of the University in three ways. First, its undergraduate and graduate education programs seek to educate students for the challenging world by providing the fundamental principles of computer engineering and the skills needed to solve the complex technological problems of modern society; the breadth of course work complemented with hand-on experience provides a framework for life-long learning and appreciation for multidisciplinary activities. Second, with the research and professional activity expectation, the department aims to contribute to the development and progress of computer engineering, with the emphasis on software design and development and IT in healthcare, to provide innovative, creative solutions for societal needs. Finally, the department initiatives to focus on teaching, research, and service will help to establish institutional and industrial relation and collaboration.
