Overview
The most important aim goal of bioinformatics is to understand the complex systems of living organisms using mathemical and numerical computational methods, which will ultimately help to find treatment methodscures to diseases and increaseing the quality of life. Its most important tool is computer technology and because since computer technology is progressing so fast the emergence of bioinformatics is becomes inevitable. Especially, in order tTo analyze the transcribed DNA sequences in the human genome, statistical methods are required as well as computer technology.
Graduates of this program will be able to use the latest computer technology in order to solve a problem about a biological system and mathematical thinking ability. Also, s/he will be able to come up with practical solutions and try to seek simpler ways to express complex systems like a scientist. S/he will be an indispensible employee to health industry and drug companies. Bioinformatics is the science of the 21st century as it is one of the areas that receive most investments in the world and especially in the United States.
