A portfolio expresses designers’ visual identity. A well-prepared portfolio takes a designer one step ahead in the sector.
With this program which is specifically designed for students who wish to study in Fine Arts Schools, you will develop a robust infrastructure to your fine arts education, move your drawing skills to the next level and be able to develop your portfolio with a research and experimentation education-oriented approach. Whilst you strengthen your skills of imaginative and spatial drawings as well as basic design, you will acquire knowledge of anatomy, history of art and liberal education. In addition to this, the midterm exams which will take place during this program will give you the opportunity to measure and evaluate your progress prior to and prepare you for the ability test.
The goal of this program is to improve participants` skills of creative thinking, interpretation of artwork, perception and transfer through theoretical and practical work. At the end of the training, participiants` complete projects that show their creativity potential and develop their portfolios with workshops, presentations and individual work. The program consists of two parts. The first part covers intense works in the area of drawing. The second part covers the bringing together of work and the inclusion of projects to build portfolios.
Drawing Techniques: In this program, in order to improve participiants` drawing skills, intensively starting from basic drawing techniques to line work, lights – shadow relationship, ratio – proportion, perspective drawing, taking measurements, portrait, hand-foot-anatomy details are examined and drawing from live model works are done. In addition to this, composition works are done to improve students` fictional narrative. It ensures that participants’ improve their drawing skills which is required by Fine Arts Preparation.
Visual Research: The most important starting point of design research is the observation. Archiving observations help the person to improve creativity skills. The materials, visual studies, sketches, drawings, notes and evaluations which are relevant to the project works taken on during this programme are collected in a visual diary.
Portfolio preparation: A portfolio will be prepared by bringing together the creativity skills developed and the notable works done in this program in which being perceptive, interpreting, expressing oneself and creative thinking are learned.
