High school graduation or its equivalent is a prerequisite for admission to any program at Istanbul Medipol University. Admission is based on a review of all credentials presented by an applicant. Scholastic background is evaluated by the Admissions Committee, along with personal qualifications and aptitude of each applicant. The application process is same for all international applicants regardless of citizenship status or country of residence. The application will be evaluated when all documents (application form, photograph, transcript, diploma and test scores) are received. SAT Reasoning Test (SAT1) and IB examination scores are strongly recommended but not required for admission. Such information will assist the evaluation process. Applicants, however, who choose not to take SAT Tests or IB examination will not be disadvantageous for admission. A provisional acceptance may be granted to applicants who have provided evidence of qualification for admission, but have yet to submit official records, test scores, or additional materials required.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Istanbul Medipol University was established in 2014. Our department provides individual oriented education with few selected students, aiming to have graduates with fully equipped, aware of the importance of life-long learning and open to improvement, through an education program that emphasizes hands-on learning, involves undergraduate students in research projects, and promoting creativity. Our department, with its a growing number of experienced and dynamic faculty members, is aiming to be a leader in both research and education. Our faculty members and graduates contribute to the development of science and technology and address the needs of our country through collaboration with national and international industry, state agencies, and research labs.
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Istanbul Medipol University was established in 2014. The education language of the 4-year bachelor’ degree program is English. Students who prove English language proficiency or successfully complete the English language preparation program may start the Engineering program. The first year of the program aims to provide background in basic science and mathematics. The second and third years of the programs equips the students with the technical foundations in electrical and electronics engineering. The fourth year allows students to have depth and breath with technical electives. The capstone project in the fourth year enables students to put all their knowledge into practice with a comprehensive engineering project, helping them in their careers after graduation. In addition technical courses, the program includes non-technical electives and mandatory courses to develop professional skills, awareness about social, work, and ethical responsibilities, understanding of innovation and entrepreneurship. Internships during the summers after second and third years enable students to have industrial experience. The course program is structured to satisfy the requirements of Turkish Higher Education Standards and European Credit Transfer System.
Our graduates, who have the chance to enroll in the program run by the internationally experienced faculties, can be recruited by companies and R&D centers working in a variety fields, including electronics, telecommunications, energy, biomedical, and defense industry. Besides these opportunities, we expect some of our graduates to run their own businesses based on new ideas or innovations they obtained during their education in the university. Some of the graduates are expected to continue with their graduate studies targeting MSc and PhD degrees in the best national and international universities and research centers.
