High school graduation or its equivalent is a prerequisite for admission to any program at Istanbul Medipol University. Admission is based on a review of all credentials presented by an applicant. Scholastic background is evaluated by the Admissions Committee, along with personal qualifications and aptitude of each applicant. The application process is same for all international applicants regardless of citizenship status or country of residence. The application will be evaluated when all documents (application form, photograph, transcript, diploma and test scores) are received. SAT Reasoning Test (SAT1) and IB examination scores are strongly recommended but not required for admission. Such information will assist the evaluation process. Applicants, however, who choose not to take SAT Tests or IB examination will not be disadvantageous for admission. A provisional acceptance may be granted to applicants who have provided evidence of qualification for admission, but have yet to submit official records, test scores, or additional materials required.

No doubt, health is the most precious asset in our life. Protection and improvement of our health is not only crucial for our individual welfare but also for economic and social development. However, several factors affect for us to live longer with better quality life. Health system is one of those factors and forming a health system that can meet the increasing and changing needs and expectations of the public has now become a focal point for many countries.
In our country, a number of important changes has also been carried out to form a better functioning health system. Such changes have given rise to the need for not only managers who can produce solutions to the existing problems but also leaders who can shape the future of the sector with the conscious of social responsibility. Therefore, health management has become a shining-star profession with a promising career in the future.
Health Management Department is established at Istanbul Medipol University in 2010 under the Faculty of Health Sciences depending on the developments in the field of health in general and health management in particular in Turkey and across the world. The education period is four years. Graduates can practice in the sector or pursue graduate education.
The Department launched its masters programme in 2012 and doctoral programme in 2014. Thus, it has been improving the accumulation of knowledge towards the management of health institutions and organizations and the formation of health policies through undergraduate and graduate level education, teaching and research, and it aims to become a pioneer in Turkey.
Graduates of Health Management Department have a wide range of employment opportunities at various levels, including Ministry of Health, Social Security Institution, Provincial Health Directories, Provincial Public Health Directories, health care providers in the public and private sector, municipalities, insurance companies, almhouse. They can also pursue an academic career in higher education institutions.
