Overview
The Tourism and Hotel Management program is designed to give students comprehensive knowledge about tourism industry and tourism establishments. In Tourism and Hotel Management program, the core courses covers topics such as: Introduction to tourism industry, Front Office Operations, Travel Agencies and Tour Operators, Food and Beverage Management, Tourism Diversification, Tourism Geography of Turkey and World and Hotel Accounting. The curriculum is shaped to give students chance to select their courses from various topics. The curriculum also gives students chance to take “Tourism and Hotel Management Applications ” course in every semester. This course enables students to apply their theoretical knowledge in various tourism establishments.
Programme structure
The students who successfully complete this programme may apply to undergraduate programmes through a central examination coordinated by Student Selection and Placement Center or they may directly apply to open courses to complete their degree as a Bachelor.
Career opportunities
After graduating from Tourism and Hotel Management Program, students are capable of working in hotels, travel agencies and food and beverage establishments. They may find opportunity to work in various positions such as front desk manager, front desk or reservation supervisor, food and beverage supervisor, sales representative or as an operation manager in a travel agency.
