Overview

The Department of Aeronautical Engineering aims to train and educate national and international engineers who are experts both at maintenance and repair of military and civil aircraft, and at design and production of new technology aircraft. They will, in return, help Turkey realize its future dreams and plans in aeronautics in addition to carrying out research and development in aviation.

The Department of Aeronautical Engineering is an engineering branch whose aim is to design and develop structures that fly in the air such as aircrafts, helicopters, and rockets as well as bullets pertaining to weapon systems. Moreover, in this branch of engineering, background knowledge and skills necessary for the maintenance, repair and operation of the structures mentioned above will be obtained by students. Aircraft engineering promotes the process of research, development, and design of land / sea vehicles exposed to air friction in addition to promoting the process of research, development, and design of aircraft. Hence, aircraft engineers have the chance to be employed in a wide variety of fields ranging from defense and aircraft industry to land transportation industry.
